The Remnants

This piece was created with the hope of awakening the viewer’s soul and perhaps saving a life. Not so long ago, I was a shattered person, carrying the weight of years of physical and emotional torment. Unresolved childhood trauma led me into toxic patterns, and I endured horrific treatment that made me lose sight of my worth. I turned to substances to numb the pain, until despair overwhelmed me and I attempted to end my life. These letters are my desperate cries to Heaven when the suffering became unbearable. It wasn’t until I surrendered to God that my life was transformed. The flames in her hair embody the eternal hell she has risen from, while the roses symbolize both the fragility and resilience of her freedom, an oath to her unwavering allegiance to God. Some roses will endure, representing strength, while others will crumble, signifying the delicate nature of life without proper preservation.
I hope this piece inspires you to choose life, reminding us all that, despite what we’ve done or what has been done to us, we each carry a purpose within. Healing begins from within, and together we can uplift the human spirit. As I release this work into the world, I close a painful chapter and step boldly into a new one, guided by a mission to integrate healing through artistry.
